Coventry City caretaker manager Lee Carsley that David Bell has a lot to prove.
Bell was back in the first team fold on Tuesday night at AFC Bournemouth where he came on for the last sixteen minutes plus five of stoppage time.
Speaking to the club website about Bell, Carsley said: "David Bel) has got a lot to prove to himself and to this club. I played against him when he was at Luton Town and thought he was a quality player.
"When I signed back with Coventry, I was looking forward to playing with him but I didn't see that same threat. I just think it is a confidence issue.
"He has got plenty of quality but he just needs that consistency now. "He will have a part to play but he needs to get fitter and keep that bit between his teeth."
