Celtic manager Neil Lennon has accused Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd of being disrespectful in his comments about the derisory offer made by Celtic for City's highly rated, Irish international goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.
Celtic offered £500,000 for the 25 year old 'keeper, who still has a year left on his Coventry City contract, an offer described by Coventry as 'derisory' and led to Boothroyd commenting, the offer was "£3.50 and a bag of haggis"
That comment irritated Lennon, who told The Daily Record: "I was annoyed by that comment. It's disrespectful. I don't know yet what will happen there. Maybe if we add a couple of bottles of Irn Bru that should seal it."
Most Coventry City fans will no doubt think the derisory £500,000 offer for Westwood was disrespectful in the first place and will also think the offer of a couple of bottles of Irn Bru even more so.
