Mr Neville Hadsley has been forced to issue a statement disassociating himself from the article about him and GMK published in the Coventry Evening Telegraph today (24/11/2004) and on the website icCoventry.co.uk.
According to his statement. "The article states that I am "planning to defend the action". This is not true. My course of action in response to legal threats issued by Coventry City Football Club (Holdings) Limited will depend on the advice of my solicitor which I expect shortly.
Secondly the article implies that I am not willing to apologise to the current chairman and board of Coventry City FC. This again is not true. If I have in any way acted illegally or inappropriately, or if an apology would be appropriate, I would be happy to publish an apology. However, I repeat I am awaiting advice from my solicitor and therefore not ruling out any course of action at this stage."
