The Coventry Charity Football Cup Committee handed over cheques totalling over £11,000 at its annual presentation evening at the Christ The King Club in Coundon, Coventry.
Cheques were presented to sixteen locally based charities who included BASICS, Coventry Deaf Sports & Social Club, Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind, Warwickshire Counselling Service, Mary Ann Evans Hospice, Community Broadcasting Services, RSPCA, Lifepath Trust, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, RAFA Club, Island Project, Zoe's Place, Renal Research Unit at UHCW, Footballers' Welfare Fund, Mercia Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre and Acorns Children's Hospice, who each told of the work they do with many heart rendering stories.
