Chris Anderson joined thirty two members of the Coventry City London Supporters Club at the Calthorpe Arms on Thursday 25 Februaryfor what was an excellent and enjoyable evening.
In the more formal two hours of questions Chris gave an illuminating insight into his approach to his role, spoke openly about his own background, his relationships with the owners, Wasps, the Council and with Messrs Mowbray and Venus.
He touched on the elephant in the room around the stadium, but whilst we all wanted to come away with some juicy nuggets, the astute Chris Anderson said he wouldn't be prematurely revealing their plans. He was forthcoming when he could be, but equally clear about things he couldn't say more about and why.
Although he was passionate about his role he was also detached from the type of passion we as supporters might wish for. A good example of this was the decision to sell Maddison.
Many came away feeling pleasantly inspired that our club is in capable hands.
At the end of the formal session, Chris stayed around talking to individuals in smaller groups and then joined a group at the bar talking Cov and football in general until nearly closing time.
