Former Coventry City manager Chris Coleman came to the rescue of a distraught pensioner in Haverfordwest, in south Wales.
Coleman helped the woman who could not remember where she lived by driving round the town centre in Haverfordwest before caling friends in the town ,who in turn called the police and found out that the woman had been reported as missing.
Coleman drove the woman to a local college where she was given a cup of tea before police arrived to unite her with her family.
A police spokeswoman said:“We would like to thank Mr Coleman for his assistance with a vulnerable member of the public.
“We fully appreciate he was travelling to an engagement during his busy schedule. But he still took time to ensure the safety of someone who was in need of help.”
