City U18's boss Gregor Rioch sent the defender to the Liberty Stadium to get some match experience.
However, with Nuneaton topping the Conference North table, Christie has not been able to command a regular place and has come back to Coventry.
He is expected to be in the City U18's squad which will travel to Watford tomorrow.
