Coventry City defender Cyrus Christie has said that he will continue to give his all despite his future being uncertain.
Christie has been watched by a number of clubs including Tottenham and told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: “The gaffer talked to me about staying until the end of the season and I said I am more than happy to do that if that’s the case. “A lot could change between now and then but there’s no rush on my contract front
“My contract is still under negotiation but I don’t deal with any of that – it’s all done between Steve Waggott and my agent. I just want to concentrate on my football and I don’t really ask what’s going on because if there are any updates then I am sure they will come and tell me.
“The gaffer has talked to me and spoken about it in the paper about what we said in terms of what I want to achieve. For me, I just want to keep playing well and doing well for the team – take it day by day and see what happens.
“When it came out that I hadn’t signed a few people kind of turned on me but I think the gaffer put it straight and told them that each day I go out to train and give it my all.
“I am not going to jeopardise the team because that would be selfish and that’s not the type of player I am. I think I have shown in my performances that I am willing to put in a shift for the team – this is where I started my career and it obviously means a lot to me and I will keep giving 110 per cent in every game.”
