Thanks to a discriminatory loophole in Football League regulations, Coventry City supporters will have to pay £19 to get into the Britannia Stadium on November 6th when the Sky Blues visit for a televised Championship fixture, whilst Stoke City supporters will pay £5 if they buy a ticket in advance from a location in Stoke's city centre.
City 19 Stoke 5
Had visiting supporters who will have to pay on the day been offered this price then the away following would have had been a lot bigger than the expected few hundred.
Covsupport is backing calls for this loophole to be closed and for clubs to follow the good practice of Watford FC who plan any cut price games in advance of the season, incorporate the admission price for cut price games into the season ticket price whilst charging home and away supporters the same price.
