Coventry City and Southampton might not do any business with each other in the future after the deal which would have seen Elliott Ward move to St Mary's was pulled out of by The Saints.
The City board and manager unlike many of the fans, have been keen to off-load Ward and were left fuming when Southampton pulled out of the deal and signed Exeter's Danny Seabourne instead.
The Mirror is quoted as saying: "The animosity between the clubs is now so fierce they may not do business with each other in future despite another deal supposedly being in the pipeline."
