City hope to have defender Rod McDonald back in training this week.
The defender has been out with a hamstring injury but trained on Friday and Mark Robins told Martin Winch of BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: “It was hamstring, it was cartilage – all of those things but it has turned out better than we expected because I was expecting him to be out for about 12 weeks, so it’s much better news.
“He was on the training field on Friday and hopefully we can get him back with us in the early part of next week.”
City have two home games coming up and face Port Vale at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday and Carlisle United on Tuesday September 12th at the Ricoh Arena.
