Coventry City went down to a 2-0 defeat at Fleetwood Town.
The month of September is upon us and the Sky Blues without a League away victory made their most furthest north westerly league trip to Fleetwood Town.
Plenty of City supporters had, given the town's close proximity to Blackpool, opted to make a weekend of it and the Sky Blue Army which included a good number who did not even bother with the game, making a few days or a weekend of it.
Those who did bother making it up on the tram to Stanley Road and round the corner to Highbury, which staged an England U18's win against Italy on Thursday night, saw Tony Mowbray's side arrive with his two midweek signings.
Jamie Sterry was named in the starting line up on a wet afternoon which was not needed after a couple of sunny days and it was a starting line up which saw City start with a 3-5-2 formation.
City were forced to defend early on with the home side winning a fifth minute corner and Charles-Cook grab after Cole got to a cracking through ball.
Playing in their home kit, the Sky Blues or white and sky , had their first chance in the 12th minute when Chris McCann drove wide from twenty yards.
City had a corner in the 17th minute which was cleared. Charles-Cook came out. Harries was sent crashing as the ball was lobbed over the pair. Thankfully. Jamie Sterry headed a yard off the line and out for a corner.
Charles-Cook saved with his feet in the 20th minute and Coventry escaped again.
Harries, who was watched by an Everton scout, was fit to continue and marshall City defence's well, which needed it as Fleetwood were having too much of the ball in the final third, something which typified by Cole curling wide on the half hour mark.
Former City Trialist Chris Neal in the Fleetwood goal, final had a catch in the 34th minute before Ball curled wide three minutes.
Chris McCann had picked up a knock and had to be replaced by Marcus Tudgay who watched on as Ghadzev sent over a free kick which Neal pushed away for the first of two corners.
Gael Bigirimana drove at Neal and City won three corners as a poor half of football ended.
City had the first chance of the second half with James Sterry forcing Neal to dive to his right to push round for a corner.
The City support which made their way here from Kent, London, the Midlands as well as Blackpool.
Agyei fired at Neal whilst the City support jeered as Cole fired over the Memorial Stand and out of the ground.
Agyei fired at Neal again and this time won a 55th minute corner that was thumped out of the ground.
The City support gave Neal some good banter, but it was the home fans were cheering when Sordell lost the ball. Fleetwood broke and Chris Long ran on and put his side ahead in the 58th minute.
City won a 62nd minute corner as the City support demanded changes. Tony Mowbray did make a change but it was Ben Stevenson on for Ghadzev, a more like for like change than one who could change the game.
Fleetwood sent on Martin Woolford and within three minutes, Woolford got down the left and drove home.
Mowbray sent Wright on for Agyei which did not go well with some of the City support.
Fleetwood made one more changes against a City side which had two corner and a Page shot.
Most City supporters left before the end fed up at wasting an afternoon. Those who stayed sang Sack The Board and demanded Chris Anderson and co to go and it is clear that Coventry City need to start finding some victories and soon.
