Coventry City manager Iain Dowie was at a loss to explain the booing of Robert Page during the 4-0 defeat against Preston North End.
Said the City boss: 'I don't understand booing at half time or the booing of Robert Page.

'That goes against everything he is about - he is a good honest player. 'I accept booing from the fans because they have a right to that but they should boo me, not the players."
After being appointed Club Captain, Page's form started to dip in December following the birth of his third child. Then came the spat with Michael Doyle. A similar incident saw him leave Watford but he escaped punishment by the Sky Blues, something which did not go down well with many supporters.

Page was then blamed for the defeat at Leicester and was subseqently injured before returning for the QPR game when Colin Hawkins was injured.

Page was out jumped by David Nugent for Preston' second goal and was involved in a calamitous error which led to Brett Ormerod scoring a forth which led to some supporters booing the former Welsh international who has a year left on his contract.
