Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted his concern about the pitch at the Ricoh Arena.
With head groundsman John Ledwidge long having gone to Leicester City, it is understood that contractors have been tending the pitch at the Ricoh Arena.
Steven Pressley has inspected the pitch and told the Coventry Telegraph: I’ve had a conversation with the people up there and it all depends on how the pitch recovers over the next week.
“To be honest it’s not great at this moment and there needs to be quite a lot of work done on it, but as Neil MacFarlane said, we’d rather be there than Northampton.
“My concern is that in three months time it will be really poor but we’ll worry about that in due course.
“It’s meant to be good weather next week so hopefully we will see some growth in it, and fingers crossed it will recover quickly. A week can make a big difference.”
