On Stephen Wright, Coleman told the club website: "We know what the problems are with his Achilles and he is just going to have to take a back seat and let it heal. "It's a big disappointment for us because Stephen was excellent in pre-season and we are desperate to bring in a right-back to help us in that area.
On Jay Tabb, who has blisters on his feet, the City boss said: "Tabby has been really struggling with his feet (blisters) and he is going to be touch and go for us. He's been playing and training in a lot of discomfort and we've got to assess him ahead of Saturday's game. "We have to weigh up whether to keep playing him or whether we take him out of the team for a while and give him."
Freddie Eastwood is another concern. He was pulled out of international action to rest a groin injury and Coleman said about his £1.5m close season signing: "Freddy has been training tentatively but we have had to be careful on that front because he is an important player for us and we don't to lose him for a longer spell.
"It's important that the fans realise he's not up to match sharpness yet and that they don't expect too much too soon but in the long run he will undoubtedly be a very good player for Coventry City."
There is good news in that Leon Best and Isaac Osbourne are back in the picture and Coleman said: "Isaac Osbourne recently played in his first game since the end of last season in the reserves and he did well and offers us some more strength in a few positions.
"Besty has looked very good. He's naturally a very fit and strong young man and he's got back to fitness a lot quicker than other players might have done.
"He came on for his first appearance of the season and he then played in the reserves and set the goal up in a 1-0 win against Wolves. He's looking very sharp indeed and it's good to have Leon available again."
