Coventry City manager Andy Thorn admitted to being pleased with the overall performance which saw City win 1-0 at Port Vale in a Behind Closed Doors pre-season game.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player's Nick Connoll after the game, Thorn said: "I was really pleased with the first half and pleased overall. I though Stephen Elliott did really well and looked really sharp, getting in behind players and he definitely comes into my calculations now.
"I thought Richard Wood (pictured below) and Reece Brown formed a good partnership in the middle of defence and looked solid and I thought Adam Barton showed lots of quality even though he's probably a couple of games behind us. He's a fit lad and he covers the ground well, it's been his first game for a long time but he'll be fine.
"I thought it was difficult for the trialist Peter Poloskei because he came on second half with alot of the younger boys but we will have a good look at him in the week. With Steven Jennings we know what he is about and we will do the same with him."
"We've got one game left now and the season has come around really quick so we want to get the rest of our work done to make sure we're ready and I'm looking forward to that first game."
