Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that he want more signings before the Augut 9th deadline.

Every team needs a twenty goals plus a season striker and Robins has been looking for one to replace Marc McNulty as well as bring in quality in other areas.

Robins told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "We are still in the market to get maybe one, two or possibly three new players in.

"I am not going to tell you what positions but I want to improve certain areas that I am not happy with at the moment.but it is what it is and you can only do so much in any given window.

"This is our second summer window. January is really tough and you can't really count that window. But this is our second summer window and we have got to try to make that count.

"They have closed it earlier than the rest of the most of Europe, so it will be loans after August 9 so yes, we have got a lot to do but you can't force these things."

There is little doing with Portsmouth's Conor Chaplin and Robins said: "There's no progress what-so-ever.

"It's clearly frustrating because we have got to make things happen.

"We have got to make sure we have got enough in the building to give ourselves a fighting chance and not sit back on our laurels thinking we'll be OK because pre-season has been alright.

"Clearly we need that bit of help and while it is frustrating, it isn't of our club's making. There are bits and pieces and elements that make a transfer."
