Coventry City have been praised by The Minister for Sport, Tracey Crouch MP for making an effort to reduce ticket prices and make football more affordable.
In a written response according to the Football Supporters Federation, 'Crouch was asked what discussions Government had had with the FA, Premier League and Football League on the cost to supporters of following football.
'The Parliamentary question came from Jo Stevens, Cardiff Central MP and treasurer of the newly-formed All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Football Supporters, and Crouch replied: "I have raised the issue of costs to supporters with the football authorities but it is important to remember this is a matter for individual clubs.
"However I am pleased to hear of some excellent examples of clubs reducing ticket prices such as Coventry City and Doncaster Rovers - in line with the Football Supporters' Federation 'Twenty Plenty' campaign, and that Premier League clubs are also considering an extension of the Away Supporters' Initiative."
