Coventry City are looking at ways of encouraging more supporters into the Ricoh Arena for City home matches after it was announced that City have the worst record in the Championship for filling a stadium.
According to a report in this week's Coventry Observer, the club has averaged 17,516 for thirteen matches played so far this season which equates to only 53.8% of the stadium being full.
The lack of on the pitch success, on the day ticket prices, the added costs of getting to the Ricoh Arena, the lack of a train station, the cashless system, ticket accessibility, the club's continuous demands for money and the atmosphere at matches have all been cited by supporters since the club moved to the Ricoh Arena as reasons not for going on a regular basis.
The club have brought out two new ticket packages to try and encourage a few floating supporters up to the Ricoh more often. (Details here) and Nathan Kosky, City's Commercial Director told the Coventry Observer: "We always want as many supporters as possible at the Ricoh. It makes such a difference to the team and helps grow the stability of the club.
"We understand times are tight for our supporters and we hope these packages show how much we can offer to fans who commit regularly."
