According to the Coventry Telegraph's SImon Gilbert, 'the decision to ban Coventry City supporters from using the council-owned Ricoh Arena station was signed off by an advisory group chaired by one of the council’s own staff.'
The decision was made by the Ricoh Arena Safety Advisory Group which has had on it for a number of years, the City Council's Development Officer Barry Butterworth, along with representatives of Arena Coventry Ltd, the police and other emergency services.
