New Coventry City defender Hermann Hreidarsson has said that City don’t look like a team in the doldrums.
The 37 year who knows a thing or two about relegation, having suffered it with five clubs, told the CT’s Andy Turner: “They don’t look like a group of players who are in the doldrums, they are fighting fit and full of confidence,” said the 6ft 3 inch tall left-back and natural leader.
“They pass the ball well and are a good footballing side.
"I can already see they have a great spirit there and there are still a lot of points to play for and we need to start picking those up sooner rather than later, and that will give the lads a lot more confidence.
“I played with Martin Cranie at Pompey and he’s a very good player.
"We played a few games together down there when he was right-back at the time.
"He’s played a lot of games for Coventry and it will help that I know him.
“I have seen their results recently and I know that the team have been losing by the odd goal, but there is a lot of talent there and we just need a little bit of a change of luck and, obviously, a few more goals.
"We hope to get a little run going and win a few games.”
