The cash strapped Sky Blues had offered £20,000 for the striker who is out of contract on July 1st but under the age of 24 thus making the Conference side entitled to some form of monetary compensation.
That offer has been doubled but it still miles away from Cambridge's valuation and on Cambridge's insistence the matter will be dealt with by a tribunal.
