City Drop A Place To Fourteenth

Coventry City have dropped to fourteenth in the League One table after their 1-0 defeat at Peterborough United.

City's slim hopes of making the play-offs ended with the defeat to Peterborough who are seven points ahead of Swindon Town who beat second placed Brentford 1-0.

The Sky Blues are six points and a far superior goal difference clear of fourth from bottom Carlisle United who were beaten 6-1 at fifth placed Preston North End.

City are also six points ahead of Crewe who were beaten 2-0 at home by Wolves who booked their place back in the Championship next season.

Shrewsbury Town stay second bottom after a 2-1 defeat at Tranmere and bottom sides Stevenage were beaten 3-2 at home by Colchester United.

Third placed Leyton Orient beat Gillingham 5-1, MK Dons lost 2-0 at home to Crawley Town, Notts County beat Port Vale 4-2 and Bristol City won 1-0 at Walsall.
