Coventry City have explained why David McGoldrick has been omitted from the club's End Of Season Awards on Saturday.
None of McGoldrick's seventeen goals were included in the Goal Of The Season for which voting ended yesterday and he is not included in the Player Of The Year Award.
City have said in a statement: “The end of season awards are only open to current members of the Coventry City squad.
“However, we are of course mindful of the contributions that David McGoldrick made during his time here and the impact that he had.
“It’s for that reason that we are producing a video reel of his contributions and moments alongside those of other playing members of the club who do not necessarily qualify for the awards but still deserve to have their efforts very much highlighted.”
The End Of Season Awards are on Saturday at the Royal Court Hotel at 7pm.
