Coventry City’s Cody McDonald feels that City supporters have not seen the best of him.
McDonald is back after being out since before Christmas and speaking to Sky Blue Player at the club’s weekly press conference at Ryton, the former Norwich City player said: ""Its been frustrating being out because its the first real injury Ive had but Im really pleased to be through it.
"I was still working on my sharpness when I got injured so that was frustrating and then sitting there and not being able to help has not been nice.
“City fans have not seen the best of me yet. I can do more than what I have done and I want to prove that. If I can help City get out of relegation then that's what I'll do.
"I'm confident I can provide goals in this league. I don't feel pressurised because I will always try my best and that's all you can do. But I'm feeling sharp now and I'm looking forward to getting back.
"I'm not looking any further than this season at the moment. It's easy to look at pre-season for next season but I'm definitely not doing that.
"I think there's a difference between fit and match sharp because you need to come alive in the box as a striker. If the manager thinks I'm just good for 20 minutes then that's fine by me. I'm just excited at the prospect of getting back amongst it."
