City Gain Ground On Fourth Placed Wigan

Coventry City gained two points on fourth placed Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The Sky Blues 6-0 win over Bury brought them three points which reduced the gap to Wigan Athletic, who drew 0-0 with Oldham Athletic, in fourth place to four points.

Millwall in sixth place remain two points behind the Sky Blues with a 1-0 win at Rochdale, whilst Walsall drew 1-1 away at third from bottom Crewe, to drop to third, a point behind Gillingham ho beat Barnsley 2-1 at home.

Seventh placed Southend United are five points adrift of the Sky Blues are losing 1-0 at Scunthorpe United and Sheffield United are up to eighth with a 1-0 win at Doncaster Rovers.

Port Vale drew 0-0 with Fleetwood who moved out of the bottom four, whilst tenth placed Peterborough were beaten 4-0 at home by Bradford City.

Colchester United are three points adrift at the bottom of the table after a 4-1 home defeat to Swindon Town.

Shrewsbury warmed up for their FA Cup tie against Manchester United with a 3-2 win at Blackpool
