Coventry City have made known their thoughts on the debate which took place in Westminster Hall yesterday.
The debate was brought by Coventry MP Jim Cunningham in a bid to try and keep Coventry City playing at the Ricoh Arena and in response, City have said: “Coventry City Football Club welcomes the discussion that took place on the Club’s future in Westminster Hall on Tuesday afternoon, and thanks those involved in bringing forward the debate and those who contributed passionately to it.
"Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy will be contacting the MPs that spoke to arrange meetings with them.
"The Club has said previously that the only way this dispute can be resolved for the good of Coventry City Football Club, its supporters, the City of Coventry and our community is if all parties sit down together and talk constructively to find a solution.
"We hope that this is the first step in securing the future of the Football Club at the Ricoh Arena, and confirm our commitment to this process.
"We continue to update the EFL accordingly on a regular basis, while statements relating to club ownership are for the owners/shareholder of the club not the football club itself.”
