Coventry City, according to Sky Sports, are having talks with Adam Barton.
City have agreed a fee with Preston North End for the midfielder who is not part of Graham Westley's plans.
Born in Blackburn, the 21 year old Barton has played fifty times for the Lillywhites, scoring once, who has played a friendly for Northern Ireland and has four caps for the Republic Of Ireland U21's.
