Coventry City are holding talks with Richard Wood about a loan move to the Ricoh Arena.
The 24 year old central defender, is a long time target of Chris Coleman and was booed by Sheffield Wednesday fans when he came on as a sub against QPR, after being placed on the transfer list.
Notts County are also reported as being interested but the City boss is hoping that he can persuade Wood to come to Coventry with a view to a permanent transfer in January.
Players can only be signed as emergency loans until November 26th and the Sky Blues want to get something sorted by then so that he can partner Leon Barnett in defence.
