Coventry City have issued a statement regarding the bid this week made by Jojar Dhinsa.
It reads: ""We are not surprised that Jojar Dhinsa has not come in with a bid. He has had eight or nine months to do so and all we’ve heard about is the guy’s worth and what he’s got.
"He blatantly refuses to answer any questions that I put to him. If he has the wealth he says he does he certainly doesn’t need to go around saying that.
"The board would welcome a take-over providing it was for the benefit of the Club - all he is doing is creating disruption. Months ago he said he was going to sack Peter Reid and replace him with Gerrard Houllier. We checked with Houllier who said this was incorrect and he also phoned Peter to tell him the same.
"Mr Dhinsa says he is spending thousands of pounds a day putting his bid together although I am not sure on what because I have only received one email from him and a letter from his solicitors.
"The board has got nothing to hide. We have told our shareholders that it will take time to reduce the debt and the wage bill. We have got the new Arena opening next summer and along with the new Academy we are progressing forward.
"All he is doing is giving supporters false hopes. He now needs to make an official approach. Peter Reid dislikes the position that this is putting him in because it is hard to manage not knowing if he will be in his post the next day.
"I can understand why the fans want a ‘Sugar Daddy, now is the time for him to show his worth.
"The Club will not enter into any further dialogue – or issue any more statements on this subjects - until such time as Mr Dhinsa has been able to prove that he has the funds available to make a bid."
