City Keeper Crisis

Covsupport sponsored Jonny Tuffey could make his second first team appearance for the Sky Blues when they travel up the M6 to play Walsall tonight.

With Clayton Ince having bruised ribs and fluid on the lungs and Scott Shearer having signed for Bristol Rovers, Micky Adams is desperately short of cover in the goalkeeping department.

He does have a number of options and may opt to get back on trial either Chris Day or Mark Paston both of whom played for City in the Copa Ibiza or give an outing to Anderlecht keeper Tristain Peersman who has been reported as training with the club, if he decides against fielding Tuffey who is back after Northern Ireland U19's were knocked out of the European Championship with a 2-1 defeat to Germany on Saturday.

Kick off at the Bescot Stadium is at 7.45pm and directions are below:

By road
From the M6: Leave the M6 at junction 9 and follow the A461 towards Walsall. At the traffic lights turn right onto the A4148 (Wallows Lane/Broadway West - sign-posted Bescot Stadium). At the next set of traffic lights (1/3 mile) turn right onto Bescot Crescent, the stadium is 1/4 mile along the road on the left hand side.

Parking: A secure car park is available at Bescot Stadium, the cost is £3 per vehicle. We recommend people wishing to park on the stadium site arrive well in advance of the match kick-off time.

By rail:Bescot Stadium is a two-minute walk from Bescot rail station. Trains from Walsall take three minutes to the ground and on matchdays all services stop at Bescot Stadium.
