A great day was had by all as The Legends had a comfortable win over a combined side of Leamington and the armed forces.
The Legends side consisted of Tynan Scope in goal,with a defence of Dave Busst,Gavin O'Toole,Andrew Whing and Guy Rippon,together with a strong midfield of former first team players Claus Jorgensen,David Phillips Stuart Giddings,and old youth player Andy Lovelock.With a strike force of Dele Adebola and John Williams.subs making guest appearances Mark Hornby,Danny Wheldon Jim Collin.
On a boiling hot day, water was needed to keep the player refreshed with Sarah Morris bring her supply of haribo's.
After only 8mins a David Phillips free kick found the head of Andy Whing who glanced the ball into the corner of the net.
It was all one way traffic with a long range shot hitting the bar and Andy Lovelock following up blasted high and wide from 8 yards out
with only an empty net in front of him.But it wasn't long before he made amends for his error and capitalised on a defensive mix up to cooly slot home the second.
Lovelock was on the scoresheet again after a Jorgensen free kick was only parried by the keeper.Scope pulled off an acrobatic save
late in the first half as the half finished 3-0 in the legends favour.
Lovelock got his hat trick with an easy tap in from a cross from the left to increase the legends lead,John Williams scored from the spot
after Jorgensen was upended in the box as the legends went 5-0 up.
The sixth came after a great solo dribble from Adebola then he back healed the ball into the path of Jorgensen who fired home.The final goal was scored by Mark Hornby as his angled shot went in off the post.The referee blew for full time as the legends ran out 7-0 victors.
