Coventry City have loaned out Stuart Beavon.
The striker has struggled to get into City's team on a regular basis since moving from Burton Albion.
Beavon will join Wrexham on loan for the season in a deal which is subject to international clearance.
Wrexham are managed by former City defender Sam Ricketts who told his club's website: "Stuart is a fantastic signing who is coming in to us from a League one side. He's an experienced player who has achieved five promotions over the course of his career.
"His game know-how is something that will help the younger players around him. I'm really pleased to have him here at Wrexham and I'm sure he'll have a big part to play in the coming season."
Beavon said to Wrexham's club website: "I'm really pleased to be at Wrexham. I have spoken to Sam Ricketts a few times over the past weeks. It's taken a bit of time but I'm glad it's done and I can't wait to get out on the pitch.
"Sam said to bring my experience to the team to help the lads mount a challenge this season."
Talking about his style of play he said: "I will always give my all, work hard, chip in with some goals and create a lot more.
"I can play anywhere along the front and I like to get involved. I want to help the team and push for promotion."
