Coventry City are looking to find the funding to sign defender Leon Barnett from West Brom on a permanent deal.
Chris Coleman has already said that he is keen to take the centre half, who was an unused substitute at Ipswich Town on Saturday and had hoped to have the funds for the deal if Elliott Ward had joined Southampton.
Barnett's loan at the Ricoh Arena expires on January 31st.
