Coventry City are looking to sign defender Peter Ramage in the next few days.
Ramage, who has played for the likes of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, has been playing in India but has been on trial at City and speaking about him to the Coventry Telegraph, Tony Mowbray said: We’re hopeful that we can conclude something in the next few days.
“He’s had a few days training, he’s an experienced player who has played in the Premier League and Championship.
"He’s not 35/36, he’s 32 and shown enough on the training pitch for me to think that he could help us moving forward, particularly at this moment when we have no fit real centre-halves.
“So we’ll try to progress that over the next few days.
“I think his last competitive game was about a month ago but he’s been doing his own stuff to keep fit.
“We haven’t pushed him too hard in training because experience has taught us that if you do that they can break down, as happened with Martin Lorentzson , so we’ll make that decision if something gets concluded.
