Micky Adams has lost out in his bid to capture the signature of Francis Jeffers. The Charlton striker was in Coventry for talks when a phone call alerted him to interest from Blackburn Rovers.
Mark Hughes offered the former England U21 striker a two year deal with an option of a third which Jeffers has now signed.
City Lose Out On Jeffers
Speaking to Blackburn's official website Jeffers said: "It has been a busy couple of days but what a fantastic move for me, I can't wait.
"I spoke to a number of clubs but once I spoke to Mark my mind was made up as to where I would go. Exciting times for me definitely.
"I've had a difficult couple of years but I've no doubt that I can do it given a fair crack of the whip here I'm sure I can get back to my best and take this club forward."
