Coventry City have confirmed this afternoon that they will not be appealing the decision that saw Rod McDonald sent off against Port Vale on Saturday.
The referee needed the advice of his assistant before sending off McDonald in the last ten minutes of the Sky Blues win on Saturday for a foul on the edge of the area.
With the threat of increased penalties if the appeal was not to be successful and City do not have a good record with appeals, the Sky Blues have decided not to appeal the decision and get on for the time being without the services of Rod McDonald, who misses the Carlisle United game..
