Former Coventry City loanee Colin Hendry has been sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work on Thursday after pleading guilty to stalking his former girlfriend.
The Scot had admitted to a charge of harassment over his former girlfriend Sarah Kinder which allegedly included making ten phone calls a day and throwing stones at her window.
Hendry was told by Deputy District Judge Alan Lloyd-Jones at Blackpool Magistrates' Court: "It is the volume of messages involved rather than any hostile content which caused your victim distress.
"What she wants is for you to realise this relationship is over."
He was given a twelve-month community order, 100 hours of unpaid work and must pay £410 costs within 28 days.
