The winger, who was with City on loan from Manchester City during August and September 2005, has failed to break into the Cardiff side and is wanted back in his home country for a loan until the end of the Eircom League season in November. The Eircom League leaders are also looking at a deal for Kevin Thornton's brother Sean.

Steve Heighway,who was a City trialist during his days as a student at Warwick University resigned from the job citing too much manager interest from Rafa Benitez. Neal was sacked by City to make way for Ron Atkinson and was at Cardiff and Peterbrough after leaving Highfield Road.
