Stern John has had his loan spell at Bristol City extended.

The Trinidad & Tobago international was sold by Coventry City to Sunderland, who in turn sold him to Southampton. However, with the Saints in financial straits and John being one of the biggest wage earners on their books, Southampton loaned him to the Ashton Gate club for an initial three month period which has now been extended until the end of the season.

Stephen Pressley could be on his way to Switzerland. The 35 year old who failed to impress during his days at Highfield Road has returned to the UK after playing for Randers in the Danish top flight. Pressley, who also helps out with the Scottish national side, says that he has options to play in England.

Manchester City appear the latest club to be chasing West Ham's Craig Bellamy. Tottenham failed in a £6m bid on Christmas Eve to sign the much despised mate of Freddie Eastwood and now Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has been linked with a £15m bid for Bellamy and Scott Parker.
