City Old Boy Tried To Take His Own Life

Former Coventry City player Leon McKenzie has admitted that he attempted to take his own life.

McKenzie, about to retire from playing football for Kettering Town and about to release a record, told the Daily Mail that he tried to commit suicide when as a Charlton player last season when he was out injured. 

McKenzie who woke up in a hospital in Dartford two years ago, is now working with the PFA, offering guidance to players and one-on-one talks with players about the problems facing footballers.
