Former Coventry City winger Ashley Cain scored a second half hat-trick as a City Old Boys side beat a Coventry Sphinx Old Boys side 5-1.
David Busst had been able to put together a strong team which included the likes of City caretaker manager Lee Carsley, Steve Ogrizovic, the full of running Micky Gynn, Terry Angus, Craig Pead, Ray Woods, Paul Hall, Gavin O'Toole, Paul Culpin, and Claus Jorgensen.
At Sphinx Drive, in a game in aid of local charity for the homeless Coventry Cyrenians, Ashley Cain had a goal ruled out for offside in the tenth minute when he finished off a cross.
It was all City apart from one chance which saw former Sphinx manager Danny McSheffrrey fire wide before the Sky Blues took the lead in the 19th minute when Micky Gynn played a one-two with Lee Carsley and fired past Chris Daffern.
That was the only goal in the opening thirty five minutes but six minutes into the second half and following a great save from Ogrizovic, Ashley Cain turned home a Carsley cross.
A minute later and Cain was through again and beat the helpless Dafftern with a powerful shot after a good run.
In the 46th minute, Cain was on hand to complete his hat-trick before Paul Culpin chipped in with a fifth four minutes later.
Lee McManus beat Steve Ogrizovic in the 52nd minute by getting a touch as the ball was bundled into the net, but City won ran out easy winners.
