The deadline for an agreement between Coventry City FC and Arena Coventry Limited about lowering the rent the Sky Blues pay for using the Ricoh Arena is due to expire tomorrow (October 13th).
The club and ACL had been given until tomorrow to finalise a deal after the initial September deadline passed by the City Council.
Coventry City's owners SISU, who have been not paying the monthly rent of £100,000 into an escrow account, as way of establishing a bargaining chip, are understood to now owe £1m in back rent.
Relationships between the Ricoh Arena, whose Chairman and CEO have both recently left and Coventry City are not the best they have ever been and some supporters parking at the ground for last Saturday's game against AFC Bournemouth were dragged into their dispute over match day car parking.
City have moved some staff including Tim Fisher and Steve Waggott out of the Ricoh Arena and down to the club's Ryton training ground as the rent row rumbles on
