There seemed to be a few more shareholders than last year as Joe Elliot,
Gary Hopkins and Ray Ranson kicked of The AGM of Ordinary B Shareholders this lunchtime at the Ricoh Arena. It lasted 27 minutes and we learnt nothing new.
One shareholder asked What would be successes next season? Ray Ranson answered by stating a top ten pushing for a play off place, consistently."
Joe Elliott added: "Next year would be a good year."
There was a large amount of anger at the lack of progress shown under
Coleman but The Chairman stated the manager still had a year left on his'
contract and will give him next season.
Asked about the debt the Chairman stated again the club had no overdraft.
He was worried about the enlarged parachute payment to relegated clubs but
he hoped by keeping City on an even keel they would by pass badly run clubs.
Asked their favourite moment of the season the unanimously agreed the away game at Peterborough and the fans that went was the highlight.
The Chairman stated that SISU would buy the ground if we win promotion. He
has a board meeting with them on Tuesday.
SISU has invested £23-24 million into the club and where still committed to
the club.
Really that was it, no shocks, no surprises and the main gripe amongst
shareholders was another tail off to the season and not financial problems.
It certainly looks like Coleman has one more year to transfer us into a play
off team.
