Another former Coventry City player has rejoined the club. Lee Carsley has joined from Birmingham City on a one year deal. He joins Gary McSheffrey and Roy O'Donovan in returning to his former club.
The 36 year old former Republic Of Ireland international, who played for Coventry City from 2000 to 2002, before leaving to go to Everton, will go straight into the squad to face Walsall on Saturday.
City boss Aidy Boothroyd said, "Lee has a track record as a winner. He is leader and has played at the highest level and knows what is required to win on a regular basis."
"Any good team needs a balance of talent, experience, physical presence, pace and, obviously, footballing ability. I want Lee to be the glue that binds the team together because he has all of those."
Carsley, whose son plays for City's Academy, is the fifth signing since Boothroyd was appointed manager.
