Coventry City remain ninth in the Championship after their 0-0 draw at Hull City this afternoon.

Leaders QPR won 2-1 at Crystal Palace and are still six points ahead of Cardiff City who won 2-1 at Barnsley with Craig Bellamy scoring for the Bluebirds.

Third placed Norwich won 3-0 at Bristol City with fourth placed Watford winning 1-0 at Sheffield United.

Ipswich beat Leeds 2-1 at Portman Road to stay fifth whilst the top six is rounded out by Burnley who played with ten men after Carlisle was sent off in the seventh minute but earned a 1-1 draw at Millwall.

Leicester, who expect to appoint Sven Goran Eriksson, are off the bottom of the table with a 3-1 win over Scunthorpe. Bristol City are now bottom with Palace second bottom.

Other results saw Doncaster draw with Forest 1-1, Middlesbrough drew with Portsmouth 2-2, Preston drew 1-1 with Reading and Swansea drew 0-0 with Derby.
