Coventry City hope to sign Johann Berg Gudmundsson in the coming weeks.
The 18 year old who has been playing for Icelandic club Breidablik Kopavgor is being tracked by two Dutch sides and one German club but having had the left winger on trial at Ryton and after showing him and his parents around the Ricoh Arena, City boss Chris Coleman is confident that a deal can be done.
Early plans to bring in the Icelander appear to have faltered but City remain confident of signing him for the start of the year.
He has scored six times for Breidabilk in twenty two appearances in the Icelandic League which is now having its winter break as well as three goals in three cup games.
