The winger from Breidablik is being touted by a number of clubs across Europe but City are still trying to sign the 18 year old.
Chris Coleman told the CT: "Hopefully, something will happen but we have nothing concrete lined up.
"If we sign the boy, he will be capable of playing some games for us although he is not quite ready yet. But he is a good young talent and it is important we do the deal and the Chairman has been working on that."
