Alex Nimely has said that he did not expect the amount of belief shown in him by Coventry City supporters.
Speaking to the CT’s Andy Turner, Nimely, who expected some negativity due to his record at Middlesbrough, where he was not played in his best position said: I think everyone would think that way because I didn’t play in my position and didn’t have the chance to play and prove to the manager what I can do at Boro.
“So when I was coming here I knew it would be like that but I was very happy because Andy Thorn told me I would have the chance to play in every game so I said ‘OK, I’m going to prove to Coventry what I can do’.
“And that’s what I am doing. I want to carry on working hard for this club and making the fans happy.
“They are unbelievable. I am getting a lot of post from them and people wishing me well. I think they are good fans and I never expected this from them.
"They have shown massive belief in me and I am very much enjoying my time at Coventry.
“The gaffer has given me more attention and belief in myself and it is a massive difference between being here and being at Boro where I was playing on the left and right wing and going on in the second half, so I am grateful that the manager has given me games.”
