Walsall's Jamie Paterson is looking forward to playing against Coventry City tomorrow.

Paterson is a Coventry born, former City season ticket holder who had been on the books of the Sky Blues and Manchester United before he landed a contract with Walsall in 2010.

Speaking to Walsall FC's Andrew Poole, the forward said about Saturday's game against the Sky Blues;  "I've supported Coventry all my life so this is a massive game for me personally. "I've been looking forward to this one ever since the fixtures came out and hopefully I can help Walsall go there an get a victory.

"I had a season-ticket at the club from a very early age. All of my family and friends support the club and I have some fond memories of watching Cov in the Premier League against the big clubs. The atmosphere at Highfield Road was always really good and I watched some decent games there in the past.

"The Ricoh Arena has a big pitch which will benefit us and help with the possession game that we like to play. It's a nice stadium and I'd like to think that there will be a big following from Walsall and they will really get behind us.

"Hopefully we can benefit from not having a game last weekend. It was nice to be able to refresh both physically and mentally, especially as we have a busy schedule of matches coming up.

"We've all got it in us to cope with the festive demands; there are a lot of points up for grabs and we will be looking to find the consistency that will see us start to move up the table again."
